Shutter Island, a 2010 movie mixed with drama, crime, thriller, and mystery set in the year of 1954.
The movie leads you through a tale of a marshal, but not all is as it seems.
You are shown multiply stories throughout the movie, making you wonder what truly the truth is in this twisted tale.
Summary:
The movie begins with an U.S marshal, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) as he is assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient, Rachel, with his partner Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo) from Boston's Shutter Island Ashcliffe Hospital – which takes only the most dangerous patients created by Dr. Cawley (Ben Kingsley) and Dr Kingsley (Dr. Naethring). Teddy Daniels, wanted this assignment for personal reasons, but soon finds he might have been brought here because of a twisted plot by the hospital doctors whose radical treatments range from unethical to illegal to downright sinister, or at least so he believes. His investigation skills give him what he thinks is a promising lead, though the hospital refuses to grant him access to some records which would help his case tremendously.
Thought the story we are shown flashbacks playing in Teddy’s mind, revealing his past life in the war, making us more curious about this character.
The power is soon shut off due to a huge hurricane causing many dangerous patients or as to Teddy criminals, adding to the confusion, as the puzzling clues to this movie, multiply.
Teddy begins to doubt everything, from his memory, partner, even his own sanity and past.
But soon the truth is revealed, sharing something not many would have guessed to be the truth.
Movie Review : Shutter Island
This movie is one no one shall ever forget because of the twisted novel written by Dennis Lehane, and the movie written by Laeta Kalogridis and directed by Martin Scorsese, this journey makes you think more, and begin to wonder what is real and what is simply an act. It is a movie for most to enjoy as it puzzles your mind so very well.

Serendipity
Before anything else I would like to define serendipity. Serendipity was define as good luck in making unexpected and fortunate discoveries. In love we call it Serendipity if we accidentally meet the person who is destined to be our life time partner.
Have you ever thought that you will met your soul mate someday? The one that is destined to be your partner forever. They say that you will know that he/she is your soul mate if you fill complete the first time you saw him/her. In this big world it's really hard to find the one that is meant for you. How far would you travel just to find him/her. And if you find him is it worthy? Would he/she bring happiness to your life and fill the other haft of your heart? But what if you find him/her at the wrong time? You are both committed. How would you proved that you were meant to be? This is the story that would answer all your question about serendipity.
Serendipity is a romance movie that deals with fate, destiny and chance. It is about two people Jonathan Trager (John Cusack) and Sara Thomas (Kate Bekinsale) who accidentally met in a department store one Christmas while shopping for gloves in New York. After a night of talking and romancing, they sense that they have chemistry but they are both committed so they decided to test fate by splitting up and seeing if destiny will brought them back together. So Jonathan writes his name in a $5 dollar bill and Sarah writes her name and number in a book entitled Love in the Time of Cholera, and cast both items to the world. They declares that if items comes back to them they were really meant to be together.
Mostly of the scene is consists of repeated coincidences that fate leads them but they don't actually meet. Years pass by, and have their own lives - Jonathan is in New while Sarah is in San Fransisco and they're both engaged to be married. They still hope up to the last minute of their wedding that fate reunite them together. Jonathan enlist the help of his best man to track down the girl that he can't forget at the shopping store. While Sarah ask her fiance for a break before their wedding. Together with her best friend she flies from California to New York hoping that destiny would lead her soul mate back.
At the end of the movie after searching for their fate they find each other again. If you would ask if the things that will give a sign that they're destiny comes back to them? My answer is yes, it comes back to them before they do the search for each other. Fate bring the things to them just to proved that they were destiny.
Movie Review : Serendipity
The movie was good and very romantic. But I think the movie was impossible to happen in real life. I think we should not let the fate lead us. We are the one who create our own destiny. If you would only wait for your fate your life would be non-sense. We shouldn't wait for our soul mate instead have fun and meet other people. We would only realized the person is really meant for us if we accept him for who she/he is. Destiny is not about finding a sign but how you accept each other in spite of their weaknesses and let each other complete the other half of yourself. Soul mate is the one who complete yourself, not the one who will complete the sign. Don't look for the sign instead follow your heart and create your own fate with the one you love.

The story is two confusing because of different time of setting but the directors do it well which let the viewers understand the whole story little by little. The story was too impossible but deliver a good love story that tells that love can wait. In this romantic movie, love is possible even you haven't meet the person and you can wait even it requires many years just to see him.

The Notebook
Did you ever dream of a great love? Which never fade until you grow old and die?
Well, I think everyone dream to have that, to be forever in love and happy with the one you really love. Like me, I always dream of someone who will love me for what I am, until I grow old and die. Someone's who's always there no matter what happens. Who would never forget our love story and treasure it for a lifetime. Who would tell everyone of one great love that happens to us. I always imagine myself having that partner in my life.
Here's a love story film about great love which really touches my heart and made me cry until the end of the story.
The Notebook centered on an old man reading a love story from the notebook to an old woman in nursing home. The story is about two young lovers who meet one evening at the carnival, named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun. They fall in love with each other and have an affair but Allie's parents separated them because Noah's family is not wealthy.
Years pass by, Noah become soldier and still hoping that one day he will meet Allie again. On the other hand, Allie's meet other man at the hospital where she was working. She get engaged to this handsome man named Lon, a young soldier. But Allie's love for Noah is still alive. One day Allie saw Noah at the newspaper who is selling the house that he reserved for Allie. And their past back at her mind when they were together.
When she saw Noah at the newspaper she quickly pack her things to go on vacation at their province where she met Noah. When they saw each other they felt the love for each other that never fade after a long years they have been separated. After Allie realized that she is still in love with Noah, she cancel her wedding with his fiancée and she gets married to Noah.
The story was not yet finish because the old man who is telling the story is Noah and the old woman in the nursing room is Allie. Noah tell the story to Allie so that she can remember their love for each other because Allie has Alzheimer's disease while Noah has a heart problem. Whenever Allie remember the story, she only remember it for 5 minutes, which forces Noah to read it over and over again.
The story ended at Allie's room where she already remember Noah, they die sleeping and holding each other hands.
Movie Review : The Notebook

I recommend this movie is a nice and good movie that can touches your heart and will let you feel the feeling of having a great love.

The Fountain
The Fountain is a symbolic tale of man's thousand year quest to save the life of the woman he loves. The tale is split into three different periods – each from the past, present and future. The man played different characters in each periods.First period is a man in 16th century Spanish conquistador named Thomas who explore the Mayan land to find the Biblical Tree of Life under the orders of his Queen Isabella believing that the tree grant eternal life to those who drink its sap. The Queen hopes that Tomas' success in finding the tree of life will bring back the secret to eternal life and also will give opportunity to defeat the encroaching forces of the Spanish Inquisition, who want to replace her with a more pliable king or queen.
Another man in 21st century Tommy Creo, a neuro-scientist who is desperately searching for a cure to his dying wife Izzi, who is suffering from from brain-cancer and makes some progress after experimenting on a monkey with a substance discovered in a tree in South America. Meanwhile, Izzi has been writing a book that she calls THE FOUNTAIN, but has left the final chapter and die.
The third man in 25th century is Tom, an astronaut journeys in self-contained, translucent biosphere through the outer reaches of space. He is transporting the aged Tree of Life through the depths of space.
The three man were connected by romantic love and obsession. Same man who re-incarnate in different century who fell in love with the same woman from their past, present and future life.

Movie Review : The Fountain
When you watched this movie, you will be confused because three stories are not told in linear order, but in a circular, swirling pattern. At first I thought that the stories happen in the same century but as the story continue I realized the sequence of the story.
Take the Lead
Take the lead was release on cinema on April 7, 2006, inspired by a true story of Pierre Dulaine. Antonio Banderas played the character of Pierre Dulaine, who is a professional Manhattan ballroom teacher. He volunteers to teach the students in New York city public school as form of detention to students. On first meeting of Pierre class the students rejected his efforts to teach them classic dance. He inspires the student with his unwavering commitment and dedication. He catches the the students attention with his tango session and the students start to become curious and wants to learn the step. Pierre was able to combine his classic method with his students hip hop instincts and create a new style of dance. While learning ballroom dancing they also learned valuable lessons in life.
Movie Review: Take the Lead
I can say that this is one of the movie that really impress me. From the very start of the movie the background sound is really amazing, I think I also wanna dance with the tune but I think dance is not for me I would rather sing than dance. But there's two scene that really caught my attention, one is when Pierre and Morgan demonstrate the tango and inspires the students to learn tango, the second scene was when the students competing in the dance competition. Sasha, Danjou, and Ramos perform a very impressive tango, they re-mix the step of tango to their hip hop style of dancing. This movie is really worth to watched not just about dancing but give lessons in life. On dancing you have to trust your partner to be able to have a nice performance. In real life you have to trust yourselves to achieve your goal in life.
